Well Priya !
The fact that u r reading Kaplan now is good. Please read
FA in between ur Kaplan reading. I mean that when u finish reading a subject in
Kaplan lecture notes, then read the relevant subject in
FA. Do not memorize
FA and only read it quickly as u may have sufficient knowledge from Kaplan lecture notes, however after finishing
FA of the relevant subject, please read the MCQs of the relevant subject in
Kaplan Q book. When u finish all the subjects this way then please start 2nd read of
Kaplan lecture notes once again and
FA in between them as described above. When u finish a subject this time then read UW Q bank of the relevant subject and apply this same strategy for all subjects. Please notice ur performance in UW q bank. I mean notice how many questions are u answering correct. If ur performance is above 50% then u r going really well. Then do
NBME Form 6 online and evaluate urself. If ur score is low then have another read of
kaplan lecture notes+
FA+UW Q bank and do
NBME Form 3 online. This time u would have definitely improved ur performance and if ur score is according to ur satisfaction just have a quick read of
Kaplan Q bank once and then go to the exam.
Regarding ur question about reading
Kaplan lecture notes, I would like to suggest u to try to understand the text and not memorize it. However, I don't mean to read it as newspaper, I mean that try to analyze what u read but do not use a lot of time on first reading. As u continue reading the next subject after finishing one, u may feel that u have forgotten the previous subject, however, remember that it is normal and almost everybody feels this. As u repeat the notes and MCQs u will feel more and more confident.
Should u have further questions, please ask me!
Good luck for ur exam....
