Questions about Dean Letter

I have a question as an IMG regarding dean's letter,

The ECFMG plays the role of the Dean's office for certified IMGs applying to the match. Does this mean that the ECFMG will issue us a Dean's letter?

I remember the 23 questions requested during registration for the first USMLE exam I took, and it included most of the data written in dean's letter samples I found around on the web.

I know dean's letter is requested by a lot of residency programs, aside from other LORs. And I know most foreign medical schools, like mine, don't issue one.

Can someone help us with that please?

The ECFMG is your designated dean office but not your designated dean. Which means they'll represent you in ERAS in and NRMP but they can not write a dean letter for you.

The dean letter should be written by the dean of your medical college, read more here

However, this year, the ECFMG is requesting that IMGs submit MSPE (Medical School Performance and Evaluation) Form instead of Dean Letter, for official announcement read here
http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/applicants-documents-mspe.html

So contact your dean and tell them to put the title of the letter as Medical School Performance and Evaluation (MSPE).
