In this thread we vote for the Best Embryology Review Book for the USMLE step 1.
Unlike the best comprehensive review books for USMLE Step 1, you can choose only one option here as it's unlikely you relied on more than one book in your preparation.
If you know of other books that are useful for Embryology preparation for the USMLE step 1 please post your reply and we'll add it to the poll options.
Just finished BRS embryology 5e. It was very nicely written. Little too much information, but I would say that it is better than too little. Some difficulties I had when reading neurvous sytem chapter.
I went through the Lecturio Videos on embryology and then First aid.
The Lecturio videos really helped me get the concepts however they didn't contain the needed facts. Not fit for a standalone.
I have had similar experience. Their videos are super clear and help you with your overall understanding, however, I do recommend them with conjunction with FA and Uworld. That aside, Lecturio has helped me with many of the med school subjects so I can't help but not recommend them (for general med school and for the boards in conjunction with what I mentioned).
What about this combination: HY embryo + Kaplan embryo videos?
I opened HY embryo book, it so was hard to understand. I think supplementing it with videos would help. But I don't know which ones are the best for step 1. Kaplan ones are too long is what everyone says. Any suggestions for good videos directed towards step 1 which are preferably not too long but cover high yield topics?
My favorite is High-Yield Embryology (High Yield Series)
