Hi i am img with step 1 and 2 score 245/245 and waiting for step 2 cs result. If i fail step 2 cs,should i apply to family medicine ?and what r my chances for match with 1 cs attempt?
I have 3 moths USCE.
Hello/Salam everyone.
I have a query. I am done with Step 1 & CS, CK is due in July IA. Should I get the token now or wait until I'm done with CK?
How much time approx. will it take for the documents to be uploaded if i start the process in August?
Also I'll be ECFMG certified after my result comes in SEPT 16 & the certification takes another 2-3 wks, so will this affect my application? As most programs want applicants to be certified before applying..
Please give your sincere advises.. Thanks alot
Good luck everyone. May we all get what's best for us Ameen. Happy-2

I'm really nervous to start this process like most of us here. I am really interested in matching to family medicine. How many programs should we apply to give ourselves a fighting chance?

Step 2 CS: Pass on 1st attempt
USCE: All my core rotations, and currently doing all my electives.
Visa: J1 needed, Canadian citizen.

You would not worry at all. Make sure to apply to IM as well. Apply to as many programs as you can afford. If you get 6 + interviews, your match rate will be 99%

I am 2010 graduate, this is my first match, i am interested in applying FM
all 3 LORs i have are from IM , Can i still apply in FM? how would it impact my application for FM?
why is everyone posting their credentials - how are other people's credentials helpful?
It would only be helpful if you post the list of schools you are applying to
Or if you matched then post your credentials
