Warning! Help needed in application [Item 6. Name of Applicant]

hi guys ....

am a IMG frm chennai , INDIA ...
passed out in 2010

recently i started filling out my step 1 application and encountered a problem with my name ....

my name is M.Pradeep [manoharan pradeep]...
manoharan being my dad`s name

now in my passport its given as surname as manoharan
and given name as pradeep
[in indian passport v dont hav column as first name or middle name, just GIVEN name ]

i hav entered my ecfmg id name as

Last Name(s) :
(Surname/Family Name) Manoharan
Rest of Name :
(First Name/Middle Name) Pradeep

the real problem starts in my high school and college certificates including my diploma

in all these my name is PRADEEP M ...[pradeep manoharan]

there is a last option in filling out the step 1 application asking wt is my name in my diploma ...then i entered it as PRADEEP M

i`m nt sure whether i shld supplement any additional documents to verify my name discrepancies ...if so in wt format i shld submit them n when shld i submit them

plz help guys ...

You should not face problems because the ECFMG accept initializing names (M instead of Manoharan).

However, as an extra precautionary measure. You can ask your dean to write a letter saying that Pradeep M and Pradeep Manoharan are both your names and you are the same person.

Send that letter along with your Form 186 to the ECFMG.
