Question Prometic Scheduling Number!

Hi all:

What is scheduling number in Prometric?

Where can I find it?

I paid for my step 1 exam almost three weeks ago and so far no any further notification what shall I do next. I did receive an email from online services on July 11th, but it just said that my identification number is######### and nothing more...

Hi, did you send them form 186, 187, photo and all other papers from you medical school? After that you'll get your permit.

You should receive the scheduling permit from the ECFMG. The scheduling permit has what's called the CIN (Candidate Identification Number), this is the number that you can use to schedule your test at Prometric website.

Most members do not get their scheduling permit unless they clear their Form 186, for more details read here

CIN means the 8 digit USMLE/ECFMG ID number, right?

No, it's different from your USMLE/ECFMG ID number, you will have it only when you get your scheduling permit.

i got the permit from ecfmg...

the CIN number is on the top right corner of the permit...but below it is written in brackets....for use on test date only to access your examination...

what does this mean?? its the sort of admit card number? or is this the number i put on my prometric scheduling number tab in prometric website...

n.b. there is a 9 digit scheduling number also in the permit on the top left corner...below it is written in brackets... for appointment scheduling...

is this the number i put on the prometric scheduling number tab?? or the CIN number?

there is also another tab on the prometric page below the above one asking for the first four letters of my last name...but by last name consists of 3 letters only...!!in that case what shall i do??
