Warning! Extending Eligibility Period

please someone help me!!!
I applied for step 1 as a student on June 2011 and got my scheduling permit for sep-oct-nov 2011. I graduated at the end June and I wanted to extend my eligibility period. I applied for extension and payed $65. They did not want me to fill a new form 186 even i am a graduate now and my form was a student form! It said that i have a valid form 186 till 2016! do they see i am a graduate or think that i am still a student?? Do i have to send any other forms?? Do my school has to verify anything??? I am confused
I really do appreciate any replies!

If you applied as a student, they will verify with your school. If you applied as a graduate, they won't bother asking to your school and will send you permit.

In your case, your school will need to verify that you are a student/graduate. Don't worry, it won't take much time. Your school will only have to respond to ECFMG's email. I think you don't need to send any form.

Thanks a lot for your response!
But now i am a graduate and my valid form 186 was a student form. If my school says that i have graduated shouldn't i need to send a new form 186?

Well, you applied as a student, not as a graduate. You are just trying to extend and you are not re-applying. So, I don't see a point ECFMG asking you all docs. I would suggest just wait and see. If ECFMG need docs they gonna ask you, else they will send you the permit.

If still not satisfied, then you can call them and ask. But if I was you, I would just wait for a week and then call.
