Dollar Sign Is USMLE Step 1 Exam Fees Refundable!

Hi everybody
I've recently canceled my step 1 for validity period oct-dec.
Wondering if this fee of over 900USD is refundable? I've been getting different answers.

thanks so much!

From what I know you have 1 time chance to do what you are doing.

Changing dates: https://iwa2.ecfmg.org/EPEx/EPExOverview.asp

Fees: http://www.ecfmg.org/fees/index.html

I think only time you lose the fee is if you do not sit for the exam for giving period you selected (you do not show up).

Unfortunately, it is NOT refundable. I had to cancel my exam as well (back in March) and that money is lost..
Now I will only schedule once I feel "sort of" ready
Good Luck!

You can extend your eligibility period for 3 more months and you have to pay a fee, not much was arround $50 or so.
If you already extended your eligibility period and you did not take the exam then the money is lost and to take exam you have to pay again the money and also apply again.

That's correct. I extended my eligibility period, got new eligibility period and then was when I cancelled.

Yeah I did the same thing. But I didn't cancel anything.

What was I supposed to cancel? I never scheduled anything with Prometrics.

Now i'm nervous.

I scheduled with Prometric so I had to cancel that appointment. Since you never scheduled the appointment I think you didn't need to do anything
