Unhappy Medical diploma problem

Hi, everyone!
I have sent all the required documents for the verification of my credentials a couple of days ago, by fedex. I don't know how, but I have missed that one date on the translation was wrong. I kept one copy of the translation and I noticed it today. Also, it is named DEGREE instead of DIPLOMA. I emailed them, the computer generated reply said they are sorry they can't be reached by phone, they are unusually bussy, they will answer my question in 15 buisness days. I don't know what to do while trying to reach them. Should I send another translation rightaway, or wait? Can this be a reason to bar me from taking exam, or will they just reject it and I will have to do it all over again?
I'll appreciate any comment on this topic. Thanks!

Default You won't be barred

No way you are going to be barred from the exam because of this. Nevertheless, you papers are most likely going to be rejected because of a wrong date.

One exception, however, is that the wrong date is due to dd/mm/yyyy versus the US format of mm/dd/yyyy. My friend was able to convince the ECFMG that his translation is in the dd/mm/yyyy format and that's why it conflicts with the US format. If this is the case with you then you might be able to convince them to accept the application.

As far as calling them, they frequently say that they cannot answer phone calls. Specially at this time of the year when they are busy sorting out matched applicants.

However there's a trick that you can still catch them on the phone, check it out here

Unfortunately, that's not the case. The month of my graduation is Jan instead of Mar. If they reject it do they send it all back to my adress? And do I send everything back with the right translation, or should I print all forms again and get a new 186 from my school? Do I send it, or should the school do it, like the first time?

No, you should not be sending anything. Wait until they reject it. Then they'll tell you what to do. Most likely, they'll request the school to send another verification form and a translated Diploma.

If you have set up a FedEx account with them you can expedite the process. otherwise, it might take several weeks before they'll reply to your school.

Default Problem regarding the grade on medical diploma translation

Hello everyone!
I want to thank you for all the useful information about the preparation of usmle steps. I have a very similar problem as above, too. My final medical diploma translation just delivered on me today, after three weeks and two incorrect previous attempts. The document was issued from my country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs all three times. Now i can notice that everything is ok with my exact full name, the correct title of medical degree written as ecfmg asks about it,but there is still a mismatch in the exact translation of my grade compared to the original medical diploma.what do i mean?? The degree grade in my native language is "seven point eighty one" ,compared to "six point sixthy eight" in the tranlation! How did they make such a terrible mistake?its nonsense! Should i mail all of the documents to ecfmg?? Will be any kind of problem due to this mismatch or i shouldnt be worried about it? Help me guys im desperate! I have to wait another two weeks for a new translation, and pay fees once again to be able to mail form 186 accompanied by a new translation of diploma! My scheduling period is in two months time! Whats better for me to do??

Thank you in advance!any help would be highly appriciated!
