Default Please help reg. USMLE Step 1

Hi All,

I graduated in 2011. My original eligibility period was Oct - Nov- Dec 2011. I extended it to Jan - Feb - March 2012. And scheduled an exam for Feb 1 2012. Due to some extraordinary family circumstances I will be unable to take my exam in this extended eligibility period as well. I called prometric and cancelled my exam date. On calling ECFMG I was told that I was allowed only one exension in eligibility period per exam. So what are my options now ?

If I do not reschedule an exam what happens ? Will I have to start the whole process again ? How does this effect my future i.e. if i start my application process all over again will this be held against me ?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
