Question CS permit time required?

Hi,

How much time it takes for CS permit to arrive after paying fees? I have a valid form 186, Medical diploma is sent but verification is pending.

Many of my friend got it in 3-5 days, its been more than week since I applied and have still not received it.

I called up the ECFMG office and they like an automated machine replied you will get it in 3 weeks.

Anyone know how much time it usually takes? CS dates filling rapidly fast! scary!

ECFMG sent medical certificate for verification in 15 days, my college is however slow and has not sent the documents back. I might have to push those lazy administrator people in college!!!

Still worried how much time CS permit will take

Do not Worry! This is ECFMG busy days. Hance they will take their time. Do note however, verification is only required for ECFMG certificate - which is required to apply for residency via ERAS, you should have it by august 2012 for 2013 match, hence there is lots of time.

To schedule any Usmle steps 1,2, 2-CS, you just need a vaild form 186. Hope this helps

Hi I have applied for CS recently.
I have a valid Form 186 & I have already sent tmy Medical Diploma & other documents to them before & they have sent them to my Med School for verification on 15 May.

My Question: Did you have to resend any of these again for CS application or did they send scheduling permit based on online application only?
ECFMG is showing my payment as processed but they have not sent me any mail to confirm that I applied online.

Please, I need guidance here. Very tense because if I have to resend then I have to go through long procedure at my college in another city & also pay them again. It takes a lot of time.

I planning to give CS in Dec Jan. Do I have enough time? I'm giving Step 1 in Sep & this resending business will be very detrimental to my very tight schedule.
