I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. I am an IMG preparing to take Step I. I submitted my paperwork the beginning of Jan. and about 3 weeks later I was notified that due to a mistake I made on the USMLE application (online portion), I was asked to resubmit. The credentials portion (sent by the school) was accepted so ECFMG did grant me certification, however my USMLE application was denied. I resubmitted it about 5 weeks ago and it still says "In Process" on OASIS. I want to call to check the status, and also to make sure I fixed any deficiency that I previously submitted. But, then I also don't want to be annoying because I understand the number of applicants they have. I sent an email just a few days ago, and am waiting for a response. I guess my question is, Do they encourage students to call, or prefer to email/notify us when appropriate? Or am I just making a big deal out of nothing and they don't mind either way?
