Unhappy name of degree in online part

hi senior forum members, does the name of the degree awarded written on the online part of the application can matter enough to reject the application?

my transcript has clearly written degree awarded ''xyz'' that is ...different to the translated form of the degree and diploma... which says different name.

It matters big time.

It's the most important thing.

I did not get that!

Transcript is saying something different from Diploma

What is your degree? What degree is conferred by your medical school, it can not be different from Transcript and Diploma.

transcript is in english, says degree conferred : M.B.B.S.
diploma/degree English translation: Bachelor's of clinical medicine
thinking of calling ecfmg about this, and no foreign medical grads studying in that country else in past have applied for the USMLE from my med school.

freaking out

Can you read the original language? what does the Diploma says? Not the translation, the original Diploma what does it say?

What does the website of your medical school say? what degree they confer? if it is MBBS then that's it, it's MBBS and Diploma translation should be changed.

MBBS can be translated to Bachelor in Medicine, so probably you just have a translation issue, you can just contact the translator and ask to change the wording to MBBS.

The ECFMG would definitely reject your application if the transcript and the Diploma do not agree.

Also check this official ECFMG web page
http://www.ecfmg.org/certification/reference-guide.html
in that page look for the country of your medical school and see what do they usually offer.

OK. Give them a call tomorrow and see if they say OK.

My feeling is that both the transcript and the Diploma should say the same thing, either MBBS or Bachelor in Medicine.
