Help Extension of eligibility period and medical school status

I have gone through the steps of extension of eligibility period. But I have a question here that is medical school required to verify my status once again for extension as it did first time for step1 application??? because its mentioned in my ECFMG account that deadlines for completing this extension request are till 25 of April..??
And my medical school takes too long to verify status.
As I experienced it last time.
Any advise will be appreciated...

Thanks in advance.

If you are still medical student then yes your med school should verify your status again.

If you are graduate and you already verified your graduation credentials then you don't need to verify it again.

Question

Thanks alot for your response sabio..Yes i am a Graduate. So this means my medical school would not be required this time for extension process..Because they take too long in responding ECFMG. But my credentials are not verified yet by my medical school...not during my step 1 application and i was issued schedule permit...But i Told Ecfmg to resend them to my medical School...i was told once at this forum that credentials are not required to complete step1 application...
correct me of I am wrong???

Yes. Certainly, you don't need to have your credentials verified before taking an exam.

But let me ask you a question, what is the status on your Form 186, what does it say in your OASIS under "certificate of identification" status.

Thanks Sabio.
My certification of identification form says it is valid from July 21 2010 to July 21 2015...and processing status is accepted and valid? Is it what u asking me??

And one more Question that i wanted to ask is that should i wait till my name gets corrected in ECFMG records and then Apply for extension of my examination??Because in extension request I am asked in an option that the name above is my current and legal name...But my name has an additional suffix.....So i guess i will be issued a wrong permit once again???

OR because i have asked ECFMG to change my name before 28th march....they will issue me a permit with the name that I have requested them??Please guide me.

And is there any time period for which i will be given the option of extension of my Examination option???OR it will be there till my examination date which was supposed to be on march 28??
