Default Sitting the exam before verification of credentials?

Hello everyone!

I happened to read on this forum that one can sit for the exam step 1/step 2 as long as the form 186 has been accepted even if the verification of credentials is still pending.
As per my oasis account, my form 186 has been accepted, however verification of credentials is pending and it may take around 2 months for this whole process to be completed.
I have been checking my oasis account but I don't see any option to schedule the exam.

Can anyone please guide how to schedule the exam? Will calling ECFMG for this help?

Thanks!

Usually they takes about 3 weeks of time prior to receive your documents along with Form 186. In case time passes more than 3 weeks than you could possibly contact your college and inform the same.

Most of the time, ECFMG will notify you via email regarding the same. Scheduling for an exam only be available after your documents get verified.

Sure you can contact ECFMG the same.
