Default $4000-$20,000

It depends on what you want to do.

If you are going to do obseverships, externships, and electives all around USA the cost can go up to $20,000.

The minimum cost is around $4000 to pay for the exams and the ERAS token and the ERAS applications.

Boy, it's really expensive

When apply to residency programs in ERAS they will charge you fees
$65 for the first ten programs
$8 for programs 11-20
$15 for programs 21-30
$25 for programs 31 and above

Example:
you apply for 200 programs
The cost will be
$65 + $80 + $150 + $(25X170) = $4545

This is not to mention the costs of going to interviews all over the country

for step 1 you have to pay around $855 in total
u can give step 2 after alteast 6 months since ur step 1
for the CK u can give the test overseas but for CS you are required to go to US
the time reqd to prepare Step 1 vary depending upon the current status of knowledge you have and you can check your status by giving NBME forms or doin UWORD n Qbank.

You apply for as many as you can....maybe 20-30.the hgiher the number....higher the chances for call back and hence higher chance of getting a position

Those who accept you will interview you

So depending upon the date and location [from September to December] you will be running across US to attend the interviews.

This is not an exact amount but just an estimate. $8000-10000

about 3000 usd for step1+2+CS.
1500 for airline ticket
1000-1500 for 2 months stay in the US.
so thats makes it around 6000$.
Plus if you count interviews and all, then it would increase around 2000 more.
This is just a rough estimate, you can search for other threads on this forum to get a better idea. Best of luck with all!

The avg salary is about $45000 per year.
This increases by 2-3000 a year and yes it will cover all your expenses hopefully.

I think H1 visa processing will also cost around 3000USD . so, it will be added up to the total expenses.
