Unhappy ECFMG process while I am already in Eligibility Period!

Its been 17 days, i still get application in process status..

I checked the OASIS, it showed that they my application was recieved on may 8th.. i did a mistake by selecting the eligibility period from May-July... will it take much longer to process?? or will they change the period to June-August???

not sure if anyone else has come across the same problem..

It takes atleast 3 weeks for processing, can take more as ECFMG is pretty backed up these days bcoz of all the J1 visa rejections that have been happening. So, if your processing isn't complete by 24th, you will get the next availability period automatically. You will be notified by email as soon as your scheduling permit is available!

Hope that helps!

Yeah. I know of 5 or 6. Mostly in the Mumbai consulate but there might be more who haven't come out.
Also, there are a lot of people waiting for their DS forms to get converted from J1 research to J1 clinical. So there is a lot going on at ECFMG at the moment.
I am waiting for my credential verification as well, it has been over a month since they received it from my college!

At least now I can stop anticipating anything anytime soon. My 3 week limit ends today. But, I wont call them. :|
