Application on line rejected because my diploma has not been issued!
Hi guys, I feel depressed because ECFMG accepted my form 186, but it rejected my online application. The reason is that I haven't sent my medical diploma, not yet issued. I know that they prescribe to send a letter from the dean, vicedean or registrar when the diploma has not been issued. In fact I sent trascripts and on the top of the first page there was written than I graduated in october 2011 from my medical school and all information required. This certification was signed by an official registrar! So why was I wrong? What is the mistake? Do they need a certification (the letter) which is separate from the rest and not integrated with trascripts? They want that I send a letter in which is written:
"This is to confirm that [applicant name] has graduated and completed all requirements to receive the [degree title] degr ee from [medical school/universi ty name]. The degree will be issued [month and year].
What do they mean for the date when the degree will be issued???? I graduated in october 2011, and for me this is my graduation date which corresponds to the date in wich my degree has been issued. I don't know when my university will give me my medical diploma physically. The secretary of my medical school told me that it is in printing and I will receive it probably on september or october of this year. But the date on my diploma will be the date of my graduation date October 2011. I had my degree but my diploma is in printing! Can ECFMG undestand this? Please help me, I don't know how I can solve this problem! Can you tell me how my Dean or registrar must write at the voice "the degree will be issued"? Excuse me for my terrible English! I hope you can understand me. Ciaooo
