Certificate Fresh graduate. Diploma/application issue

Hi, I just graduated from my medical school 3 weeks ago (whooop-whooop )
My medical diploma has not been issued yet and won't be until at least mid-september (I guess it takes a while for them to organize everything...)

I'm planning on taking the exam on mid-December and I would like to apply for it as soon as possible to get it out of my way. I've decided on doing this a while back but I was waiting on being a graduate so I wouldn't have to change my status later.

I'm wondering if I should wait for my medschool to issue the damn diploma or if I should do it now. I guess my fear is that if i wait more i lose some time for possible bureaucratic f**k ups and if I do it now knowing that my school isn't ready, there will be for sure bureaucratic issues....

In need for some input.... Thanks a lot (regardless )

I would probably wait until November or December to apply.

The ECFMG will request you to make the dean write a letter saying that your Diploma is delayed (which is another headache).

So just wait until the Diploma is produced and then apply properly.

That's my opinion.
