second eligiblity period you mean you changed your 3 month period already?
Do you have to submit the form again?

no, i applied once and took the date and then rescheduled it to next 3 months window by paying 65$ (as usually happens when you reschedule once).....now that eligibility period is gona end in 2 weeks......i guess,i might have to pay full fee again & also pay prometri to cancel my this coming appointment in order to extend dates further but i don't know how to do that exactly with 2 weeks to go Happy- Plz reply in detail !!

I think you have to call prometric center and cancel your appointment. And you will have to pay the fee for that as its just 2 weeks ahead (call them asap) and you will have to sign up for the exam again. I think you can do that once your current extended eligibility period ends

Hi,

Do you have any idea if reapplying without giving the exam is counted bad on your profile ?

Would ECFMG score report sent to the schools mention that you cleared the exam on your 2nd attempt? (even though you reapplied without even appearing for the exam at the 1st instance)

Appreciate any comments.

yes, preet_doc4, that's was in my mind as well.....hopefully,someone would answer that as well. But i think,it should be counted as an 2nd attempt coz we didn't attempted the exam

It won't but it will show as unattempted in your record ,if I correctly remember from the another discussion on this forum

You should search this forum this topic has been discussed.
Score report.
I cannot comment on its importance
as I don't have enough information about that you would be better calling ECFMG

You have to pay the pro metric for the fee, you have to call them as they do not take the payment online
You can only extend your eligibility period only once. Then you have to pay the whole fee again, hope that helps.

Usman, all

I found this link.

Cancelling the exam does not count as an attempt

Here, it is clearly mentioned (with corresponding link from USMLE website) that

"Except as otherwise specified below, to receive a score on Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3, you must begin every block of the test. If you do not begin every block, no results are reported, and the "incomplete examination" attempt appears on your USMLE transcript. If you register for but do not begin an examination, no record of the test will appear on your transcript."

I guess this settles it. From USMLE transcript purpose, reapplying without giving the exam at all is the same as not even having applied in the first place.
