Arrow You are graduate

If you received your transcript it means you have graduated.

Graduates are not eligible for clerkships.

You should be looking for observerhsips, externships, or research while your prepare for the USMLE.

Sorry. Am not aware of medical schools that give a "final medical school transcript" yet the student is not a graduate.
Anyway. Then in that case. You have to follow what your colleagues have been doing.
Where do they do the clerkships? Do they do it in USA?
Are you from Caribbean medical school?

In all instances, then you have to finish your clerkships and start preparing for the USMLE and by the time you get the Diploma you should be ready for matching. No other stuff to do at this point.

The transcripts I got are given to all students who are going over seas,, actually what's killing me right now is that I don't know whether to start going my clerkship or study and do my USMLE test,, I'm looking for a hospital that allows students to do core clerkship, money is not an obstacle..I just want it to be in the east side maybe New York or Michigan perhaps Chicago...I went to a college in the middle east.

Arrow OK, do them both

This means that your college sets its students free to do whatever electives they want to do?
Then in that case it doesn't matter where you do the clerkships. You just need to be aware of the New York 12 Weeks Rule.

I suggest you start doing both together. I mean join a clerkship and read for the USMLE at the same time. Few weeks before the exam you need to be fully dedicated for the exam without any other commitments.
