Question procedure to change to test centre from india to usa

hi,i havnt selected my test centre..i m nt sure whther i m goin to take it in india or usa?..so in case if i select the center for nw (india), thn is it possible to change to test center from india to usa..or from usa to india?? and if yes whats's the procedure?..how much fees ll i have to pay extra?

If you select India now , you have to pay the extra surcharges ( applicable outside USA ) ... then if you need to change back to USA ...you have to fax ECFMG a letter requesting the same. I guess they would return you back the surcharge. Surcharges is mentioned in usmle.org website or ecfmg booklet or it will appear when you are applying for exams. If you need further clarification, call ECFMG. The executives who take calls are very well informed. Good Luck !

If you want to change testing center, with the same eligibility period, you need to send a fax to this number +12153869196, with your reason for changing, your candidate ID number, name and signature. In my case it took 2 or 3 days to get new scheduling permit. They are great! And they automatically change your financial USMLE account. Good luck!
And no fee is charged for this service.
