Default ECFMG certification. Once and for all!

I'm going to take my CK exam during the score-delay period. My score will be out on Sep 25.

Regarding ECFMG-certification, whether it is on this forum or in real life, I have heard everything from "your automatically certified immediately after you get your scores" to "1-3 weeks for certification".

Please, could one of the kind forum staff please provide us with a clear and informative answer -as you always have generously done.

For all the people doing there exam during the score-delay period, and who will complete their requirements for ECFMG certification by September 25, when will we be able to apply to the programs as an "ECFMG-certified" applicant?! (Meaning, applying without being filtered out by the ECFMG-certification filter)

I understand there is an online certificate and an actual paper certificate. I also saw the poll. But there are a lot that are saying it is automatic and immediate.

Thank you
