Mail ECFMG mail regarding updated scheduling permit

Did anyone else receive an email from the ECFMG with the subject "your updated scheduling permit is available"

The mail contents are as follows.

Your REVISED STEP 2 CK SCHEDULING PERMIT IS NOW AVAILABLE on the ECFMG Interactive Web Applications (IWA) website. Discard any previously printed permits for this exam.

YOU MUST PRINT YOUR REVISED SCHEDULING PERMIT AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE TEST CENTER ON YOUR SCHEDULED DATE. You will not be able to take the test if you do not bring your revised Scheduling Permit to the test center.

To access your Scheduling Permit, go to IWA at https://iwa2.ecfmg.org, login, and select "Print/Reprint your USMLE Step 2 CK Scheduling Permit." Your permit will open in a new browser window. Use your browser's "Print" function to print the permit.

Important Note for Examinees who

- cancelled a testing appointment 30 or fewer days before their scheduled test date, or
- were turned away by the Prometric Test Center on their scheduled test date, or
- did not appear on their scheduled test date.

If you fall into one of these three categories and have not already called Prometric to pay an appointment change fee, your updated eligibility record failed to load into Prometric's system. You will not be able to schedule a testing appointment until you call Prometric, as directed on your scheduling permit, and pay a fee to reinstate your eligibility record. After you have paid the appointment change fee, you must e-mail NBME at USMLEReg@nbme.org to notify the NBME that you have paid the appointment change fee. In your e-mail to NBME, you must

- type "Resend Eligibility" in the subject line, and
- type in the e-mail text that you have paid the appointment fee to Prometric. Include your full name, USMLE ID Number, examination type (Step 1 and/or Step 2 CK) and Testing Region in the e-mail text.

After receipt of the e-mail from you, the NBME will send your updated information to Prometric and respond to you within two business days. After you receive NBME's response, you can then contact Prometric to reschedule your testing appointment. Please do not telephone the NBME.

If you have any questions, contact ECFMG Applicant Information Services at info@ecfmg.org or call (215) 386-5900.

Sincerely,

ECFMG

I'm not sure about what exactly the mail implies. I compared this "revised" permit to one i originally printed out months ago, and its exactly the same! I did not change my exam date within 30 days of my scheduled date, although i did postpone my date more than 31 days before my original scheduled date (no extra fee required). I logged onto Prometric and saw that my appointment is still confirmed. Is there anything i need to do now?

You don't need to do anything.

This email is automated, it's sent to everybody changes the date (even if more than 30 days before the exam date).

I've a question! The email prometric send you email saying in the subject line "Confirmation of computer-based STEP Early Reschedule Fee" with a confirmation number. Now my question is that is it reschedule fees or cancellation fees. I'm asking this because i've paid for cancellation fees by calling them and providing them the credit card info. They said that they're going to send me an email which I need to forward to NBME which I did. But the email also shows exam date section filled with todays date on which i paid them. Is it just like that or I'm in a serious trouble?
I mean I can't be given today's date without the permit, right?
