I have some problem my colleagues.
I did request at October and they accept my identification form 186, and reject the diploma bcz we have some problem in our medical diploma .Our dean solved it and sent the requested letter with my final medical diploma before 2 days ,supposed to reach tomorrow. I did a new application after r...ejection with eligibility of (2-4) and now on processing until the dean letter reach.
I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE MY ELIGIBILITY PERIOD TO (4-6) can I do it >plz tell me soon as possible cz am drowsy :sleepy::sleepy::sleepy:
Sounds stressful. Now that the problems are resolved with the diploma you should be able to call them and just go through the process over the phone. they can answer all your questions.
That is my suggestion - just pick up the phone and call them helpful people at ECFMG
yes the best thing you can do is call the helpful ecfmg people...
i was also thinking of changing my eligibility period
from what i read in the 2011 info booklet you can only change your eligibility period when it is starting e.g. ( you have set it in feb-april you can apply for extension starting in feb ) also do not forget to change ur exam dates as well on your testing center.... and i think there is a $50 charge per step but i think it costs more with step 2 CS... you can call ecfmg if there is a better or earlier way to do this... thank you very much....
update this forum if you can many people are asking the same questions as well
You better change the eligibility period to May-June-July instead of April-May-June. It's better to have the most remote date in case anything happens.
Remember you have only one chance to extend your eligibility period and you can't do it again.
As villageman said. You can't extend it until you are in your first eligibility period which is February.
The deadline to request your extension is May 25, 2011.
yes rasheed is right... and probably i think you CAN'T choose 4-6 because the guidelines state that you can ONLY change it to the NEXT succeeding eligibility period... e.g.you have applied 2-4 you can only extend to 5-7... not 4-6 not 6-8... otherwise i think you have to submit a new application... im not sure about this... but thats what i found in the 2011 booklet hope this helps
