Question Can the graduation status change at the test date?

Hello all,

I'm in a sticky situation. I just gave my Step 1, applied as a student. Now I'm planning to give CS in January and I submitted my online application yesterday (as a student).
Now I'm basically done with my internship but am yet to take completion. The idea was to get an elective which wasn't to be unfortunately. So now I'm planning to get completion from my college in November.

This means that even though I "applied" as a student, during the test day of CS, I would technically be a graduate.

My question is - IS THAT OKAY?

Edit: Here's what the Item 22 of my application read -
"Are you now officially enrolled in a medical school and, on your test day, will you either still be officially enrolled in or have graduated from medical school?" Yes/No.

Judging by this, I get a feeling it's okay but I just wanna be sure. Don't wanna commit any 'malpractice' as they say.

Eagerly waiting for your wise replies. Thank you..

I've noticed from prior experiences of other forum members that if their status changes by the time they take the test, the ECFMG withholds the results until they finish the required forms.

Thanks for taking time to reply Sabio. That's an interesting point. So supposing I'm OK with the results being delayed, are there any other problems I could possibly face?
A simple yes/no reply would be highly appreciated. Thanks

I also have somewhat of a related question. A person is considered a graduate once they receive their diploma right? What about the small window of time between completion of final exams and issuance of the diploma? If this is still considered being a student, there won't be any need to send further forms or paperwork in order to receive exam results right?

I'm pretty sure you're considered a graduate from the date you are registered to your respective university. That specific date will be on your diploma as well (which you may receive on the same date or a few days later, depending on your local trends). The date of your exams &/or internship has no significance.
