Form Form 186 b

Hi everybody.

Who have information about the form 186 b? Do ECFMG send the form 186b directly to my home University?

Is the 186b easier to than 186?

Thanks.

Arrow There's no Form 186 B

There is no ECFMG Form called 186 B!

There is what's called Part B of Form 186.

Part B, is the part that has to be signed by your medical school official.
Part A, is the part that has to be signed by notary public.

Form 186, will be presented to you when you finish the online part of the ECFMG application. You have to print it, sign it in front of notary public and then send it to your medical college for signing and then your medical college should send it back to the ECFMG.

PS- If you are presented with something called Form 186 B, please let us know about it because this is the first time we hear of such thing.

Hi Sabio

Thank u for information.
I have read this post completing Certification of Identification Form
Is it possible, that ECFMG sends part b of form 186 to my home university?
I don't know, who is authorized person for signing form 186 in my home university. ECFMG will send it to authorized person.

Thanks.

Once again, I am unaware of something called Form 186-B. Probably that member (in the post your referred to) meant Part B of Form 186.

The ECFMG does not send Form 186 to the medical school. You have to send it (as I explained to you in my previous post). (there are exceptions to this rule but I don't want to confuse you about it at this point)

As for the authorized person in your school:
The ECFMG will not tell you who's he. They depend on their previous records (students from your college who applied for the ECFMG before) and they compare your Form with those previous records and if it is matching then you won't have problem but if it is not matching (like for example your college changed the signing person) then your form will be rejected. For detailed discussion about this issue, check this http://www.usmle-forums.com/ecfmg-fo...rms-ecfmg.html

I suggest you contact your college and ask them who used to sign the ECFMG forms before and make sure the same person sign it. If you cannot contact your college, try to contact your senior colleagues and see who signed for them.

dear dima
after paying money u will get this

Quote:
You are a graduate of a medical school that does not participate in the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (EMSWP) (or the medical school information you provided in Item 18 is not sufficient for ECFMG to determine if you are a graduate of a medical school that participates in EMSWP), and you do not have a valid Certification of Identification Form (Form 186) on file with ECFMG. Therefore, you must complete a Certification of Identification Form (Form 186).
Because your medical school does not participate in EMSWP, you are able to complete either a "Certification of Identification Form (Form 186) - Certification by Medical School Official" or a "Certification (Form 186) - Certification by Notary Public and Medical School Official."
so if u r near ur college u will choose form168 certification by medical school official so u will sign it in front of ur college official

if u r away from ur college u will choose form186 sign by notary public and Medical School

see also Form 186 issue (notary public)
