Help Received scheduling permit, but document verification not completed

Hi. I am an IMG from India, registered for April - June slot. ECFMG has already sent me my scheduling permit online. But my document verification is not yet completed. ECFMG has sent the documents to my college but they have not yet sent back (my dean has retired & therefore there is problem with official signature)......i wanted to know that if this process takes more than usual time, will i be allowed to take exam or not. Secondly, will i be able to extend my eligibility period without completion of this process or not. Thanks in advance.
