Listening US Residency Chances for Arab Medical Students!

hello everybody,

I wanna ask about residency seat for Arab students? is it difficult or is there a problems will they face?
another topic ,
I wanna ask what the best score to get best residency ?
is the TOEFL CERTIFICATE a mandatory for USMLE ?
I'm very interested in USMLE.

Arabic applicants are just like any other IMG applicants, Thousands of Arabs have been matched into residency.

There's no simple answer to that.
It depends on which specialty you have and there are other factors playing role.
Generally speaking, the higher the score, the more likely you will get residency.

No. TOEFL is not a requirement. It has been replaced by the Step 2 CS since the year 2004.

But what the limit of the score ?or it`s depending on the students whom pass the exams ?
however i like to be nephrologist(internal medicine )or surgury ?

i heard from some people that muslims take a low score coz they r muslim ?is that true ?

Yes. IMGs need to score higher than AMGs to get into the same position.
Again, no specific score for a specialty, many other factors play role.

i would like to take ur advise if i got the MRCP in nephrology then i start to get USMLE, is it give me high score or there is no benefit ?or can i start USMLE when i had MRCP? what is ur advise plz ??

Overseas degrees are not recognized much in USA. MRCP would be beneficial but to a limited extent.
If your ultimate goal is working in US then I suggest you cancel the MRCP idea and go straight ahead for USMLE. This is because the sooner you apply the better will be your chances.

yes,,usmle is only and only about medical knowledge ,,i hav heard many muslims doctors heading big institutions in usa,,,so if get wht u deserve
