Default Urology Research volunteer in Michigan - United States

keywords: urology, surgery, research, michigan, usmg, img, residency, volunteer

Hi, I am an MD working in Urology research. I am looking for a student/MD graduate who is interested mainly in urology (interest in surgery works too) to come to Detroit, Michigan to volunteer for urology research.

-M.D/MBBS degree required (or still in school)

-Experience in some type of research preferred but not required (please email even if you don't have experience)

-Interest in Surgery/Urology required (this will not benefit you or me if you want internal/pediatrics)

-Volunteer - not job - if it becomes possible the department will pay.

-You will need to live in Detroit michigan (not neccasarily detroit it self but you have to be able to come to the office in downtown detroit) you can't do this work from a different state or a different country.

-Hours - flexible and you can work from home sometimes.

-Responsibility : minimum responsibility is data-base entry, that's the only thing I need. Anything you'd like to do extra is welcome. If you want to publish abstracts/papers you will have to do more than data entry (this includes data entry, some data analysis, helping write the abstract...) the attending physicians and I will help, you don't have to do a great deal of work but data entry alone is not enough (this is not just according to me, the is according to the research ethics and rules).

-I work in an a big teaching hospital/center and we have large patient numbers. We also have an oncologist, female, reconstructive, stone, pediatric and general urologists. So research can be done in any field that interests you.

-regarding help with the visa, we can't provide visa or visa sponsorship. the best we can probably do is give a letter saying the following person is accepted to volunteer in urology research.

-There maybe a chance to do little observership with the attendings while doing research but it's based on availability and the attendings, especially that we have residents.

-If you are interested please send me an email with the subject (urology research volunteer) and include :

1- Any questions you have
2- Curriculum Vitae
3- USMLE Exam in this manner :exam name - Finishednot finished ( I don't care about scores)
4- U.S Citizen/Green Card holder/visa or not (this matters in pay and security clearance) If you are already here on a visa tell me when your visa expires and type you have (tourism, work, exchange visa...etc)
5-Where are you now ?
6-When can you start ?
7-How long do you intend to stay ?

I may take 1, I may take 2.
After we choose someone I will email you on what to do next.

Please don't message my usmle-forums account. It's already full and I don't open it.

Thank you
