Help Harvard Clinical Research

Hi,

Can anyone guide me pls. I got a clinical research offer from an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard med school (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). Should I go for it ??
I mean i v come to know that harvard is NOT IMG friendly so a chance of residency in medicine are thin. Should I or should i NOT ?

Even though you won't get into Harvard, but a research experience and an LoR from Harvard will let you match in the best residency programs in the country.

Go for it.

Also, i would like to know , if in future, i get at some IMG friendly insitute , should i go for it or stick to harvard ???

Do both of them if you can.

But if you have to do one of them, then I'd pick Harvard.

can you share your experience and tell us how you got such clinical research offer i am trying to find a research opportunity but i find it difficult

hey guys, sorry for a late reply

I stopped visiting the forum for a long tym ..

well i followed the method from Umaartariq.com. create an email, go thru he professors articles in pubmed, make a cv, appear fr interview. i sent it to many many doctors (around 100 emails). got replies from few .. just keep up

Hello! I'm going to do research there also, my only concern is that I'm applying this September 2013 and I have to study for CK on top of research work. What's your insight or past experience?

Congratulations for that excellent job offer that you got.... how did you apply for that? I am also an IMG & I am searching for a Research Related job... I would highly appreciate if you could share your job search technique...Thanks
