Star GRADING of 99s

This is a classification of scores of 99s in the USMLEs Step 1,2 and 3. I have made it myself to compare different scores.

* There is no such criteria of grading 99s.
* The NBME, ECFMG and the USMLE test administrators do not follow this classification.
* This classification is not used by residency programs to filter their applicants and to send invitations for interviews.

* Scores less than a 99 are also good scores

  1. 230-250 (+/-5) NORMAL 99
  2. 250-270 (+/-5) HIGH 99
  3. 270 + MEGA 99
There is no LOW 99 because getting a 99(230+) is itself quite a big achievement and you should be proud of it!
