Question Gap between premed and medical school.

Hey guys, I have a question.

In between my premed and medical education I have a 3 year gap because I had to work to afford my medical school and so forth.

How would this affect my CV for matching purposes?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It wouldn't affect your chances.

Gaps between med school graduation and starting clinical work have negative impacts.

Gaps between your last clinical work and the time you apply in ERAS also have negative impacts.

But the gap you mentioned is OK.

Well, I will also have those gaps as well since I graduated in 2010 and will most like apply next year.

Thanks for the reply. At least I only have to explain 1 of 2 gaps.
