Search Research interviews enough to enter USA

I just need some guidance.. Actually I received emails from 2 attendings in USA for a possible research assistant position.. But before they commit to anything they want me to come and meet them personally..
they would like to interview me and they decide about , whether to keep me or let me go..
It might be voluntary at first and possibly they might hire me somewhere down the road , if they find me good.

Now my question is that I have the whole conversation on e-mail and have not received a formal interview letter or anything..
Can i take print outs of these emails as the reason for my visit to USA and show them at the port of entry? I already have a 10 year Multiple entry visa..

some people that i have met, say that its not enough.. and the immigration officer might deport me back, if i say i am here just for these interviews for a possible research position that i might or might not get.. Also it will be voluntary at first and how will u take care of urself..

Help me !!!

Default don't panic :)

You mean you have B1/B2 multiple entry visa?
Why would you have any problems entering US with this visa?
I entered US with this type of visa for e.g. medical conferences few times - no problems whatsoever.
If you are thinking that they wouldn't let you in because they might think that if your interviews go well you will stay I don't think there's a problem. I mean you would need to apply for a visa that would allow you starting legal job anyways so...
If you don't feel comfortable about this situation I would suggest contacting US embassy in your country and asking them what would they recommend you to do. Print out the emails that you received from the attendings and make sure you have their work addresses and phone numbers. So that when the officer at the border has any doubts you can say with confidence: "Should you have any doubts please do not hesitate to contact the doctors who invited me to the interviews".

Good luck!
