Default Cuban Trained MD - migrating to the US

Hi All,
First post here. My fiancée is a Cuban trained MD and she is interested in taking the USMLE here in the US. I am a US citizen so she will be moving here shortly - after marriage.

Is there a way she can work with a hospital in the US before or while studying to take the USMLE?

What advice can you give us?

Thanks
Rod

She has to complete the USMLE exams, match and get a license to be involved in patient care. Prior to that, to work in a hospital setting she can be involved in research (technically in most cases she would be working in the medical school attached to the hospital and depending on the mentor might have the opportunity to shadow him/her in the hospital) or participate in observerships where she would be shadowing a mentor without directly interacting with the patients.
