Default Family planning or residency training?

Hi all, I am turning 31 soon, and is planning to have 2 children before 35 years old. I am a qualified family physician from another country and is currently unemployed in USA, waiting to apply for Family Residency training 2017. As you all know, the ERAS and NRMP opens on the 15th September and both cost alot of money to apply.

Should I apply to residency starting 2017, and if I get pregnancy before residency or during residency, will I be able to cope during the FM training?

Secondly, should I hold off residency until I have given birth to at least 1 children, which may take 1-2 years? Will it affect my chance at getting a residency position in 1-2 years time?

Any recommendations or thoughts will be appreciated.

Default apply

Your decision is very important because you will not get another chance to make it possible in 2017. I suggest you to proceed with it. Your pregnancy will not matter.
