Info USMLE Attempts Limit

Is there any kind of age limit to appear in USMLE? if yes whats that?. and after clearing USMLE what a candidate gets PG admission or job as medical officer and also tell about scholarship (if any).

Yes. The limit is Six attempts. This means if you fail the exam six times then you can not take the Seventh USMLE attempt. In reality (not official rules), if you fail the exam 3 times then it's better you give up the USMLE path because almost no residency program takes candidates with 3 attempts (except in very very rare instances such as very strong connections).

Answering your other questions:
-After finishing USMLE Steps, you apply for residency training, after you finish residency training, you can get a job as a doctor in USA if your visa status allows for that.
-There are no scholarships for USMLE or residency training.

Question Please tell

Hi Friends , I am 31 years old from India. I completed my MBBS (graduation) in 2009 from Govt Institute India, I am a newbie to USMLE , I have good clinical exposure as a general practitioner, Plz suggest me that If I clear USMLE with score more than average then what is the chances that I will get Scholarship during residency, Please help me ,

There are no scholarships for residency training. You actually get paid during that time. It starts from around $45,000 a year for a PG1 position. The pay increases by 1-2 thousand every year till the end of your training period. This pay is sufficient to live comfortably at a rented house and also to get a car leased.

Thanks that was really helpful . Can you please tell me how to start preparation for step 1. I mean what to study first. Yesterday I've downloaded First aid for step 1. Today onwards M gonna read it. Is it correct. Thanks in advance...:thumbup:
