Drug hydroxyurea in Children

Dear Dr.s:
I have a Q about use of hydroxyurea in Children.. is there EBM that support its use in Sickle cell anemia between children as it is in adults ... and what about its side effects between them ...

Hydroxyurea may cause changes in cells and may increase the risk of cancer when used to treat blood disorders.
