California California Letter as a Student

hey guys
i am an IMG, still doing my internship. i am applying for match 2014-2015, i am a US citizen. i didnt score that well in my step 1 so i want to do more electives that is why i dont want to graduate yet, but i also want to apply for california letter. i wanted to ask if its possible to start my california letter process without graduating from med school???

please help i am really confused right now

You cannot.

The medical board of California will ask you for Graduation Diploma and Final Medical School Transcript.

Is the medical school diploma the first thing they ask for?? and if i apply for it in April, will i be able to get it by September???

Yeah they ask for a bunch of stuff together in the first time and that stuff include the medical school diploma and final medical school transcript.

Recently, California letter processing time has been tremendously expedited and most people are getting it within 2-3 months maximum.
