Curriculum Vitae Pediatric Conference Poster

Guys,
I have been accepted to present a poster in a conference in the US in October.. I have begun my step 1 preparation and am planning to take it in Jan.. Will it be really useful and add up in my CV if i present the poster ?
I am in India and will need the visa.. I have to travel to US for a few days for this ! So is it worth the compromise in my study time and the expenses ? I know scores are more important than anything else..

I'd say it worth the travel and expenses, this will make you stand out when you apply, for pediatrics of course.

Thanks Sabio ! I am applying for pediatrics of course ! If I am attending the conference then it is gonna be just 2 - 4 days max in the US and i have to be back.. The thought of going all the way to the US for a 2 - 3 days stay is making me think
