Certificate Writing your own recommendation letter

Hi

I recently asked one of my preceptors to write a recommendation letter for me and she told me to write it up and she would sign it.
I have never written one up before, so Im lost =[

So how exactly do you write a great recommendation letter.
How should I go about this.
Any examples, anyone would like to share.

Please help.

Thank you

I don't get impressed to often in my practice but Tima impressed me. From the first day she stepped into my practice she had a smile on her face and an energetic personality. I only had Tima for 6 weeks but she was open to learning and grew by leaps and bounds with the time I had with her. I could tell Tima cared deeply and wanted to be involved in every facet of the decision making.

Tima would be a great asset to whomever would be so lucky to have her on the team in whatever field she wishes to go into. I hope Tima would consider coming back to my practise after she is through with her residency.
