My chances of internal medicine at community based university affiliated hospital

hello all
I am an IMG 2009 graduate.

I have taken all the exams to be ECFMG certified; scored of 98/228 on step one, 93/217 on step 2 ck and have taken step 2 CS and its results are not out yet but am expecting to pass, will have it by Aug 17th hopefully.

My questions are :

1. Is it OK if I take my step 3 in October start? can I mention this on myeras?

2. Can i hope to get a good number of interviews for internal medicine at a university or community based uni aff hospital?

3. I'll have 3 lors from us doctors by the end of September . coz am beginning two months of externship with americlerkship on 17th of July, so can I send in the last lor when i get it then?

4. I require a j1 or h1b visa. when is the best time to take the step 3 exam then?

Yes. That's OK.
Yes. You can mention it in ERAS, you can choose the option "will take the exam".

Yes. You can do that.
Also, make sure to mention it in your personal statement. So that even if your LoR is not ready yet, they'll see that you are doing an externship when they read your PS.

For J1 Visa, you don't need Step 3.
For H1 Visa, please read here

regarding getting the LOR after sept 1st, will i still be able to send it, or i will just keep it with me till interview
and in my application, will i said that i have .eg such month in clinical experience (october) although i am applying for match in september?

You can still upload it to ERAS and update your profile but it's recommended that you take it with you to the interview as well just in case they ignore the ERAS update.

You can't use ERAS to mention a job in the future unless it starts in September and continues into October.
