Default general practitioner ( private practice back home) - ok to put on resume ?

If you had your own private practice back home ( general practitioner ) - would it be ok to put it as experience on the CV ? I am confused how to put it on CV / ERAS. Its one thing to be working at a hospital / or under another doc where yu can get a letter to prove it. How do you provide proof for your own practice back home ? I used to work in a hospital earlier for which I do have an LOR ( not sure if it will be useful ) . If anyone could guide me on whether its ok to mention I had my practice , I would really appreciate it .
