First of all, what's your year of graduation? If you're an old IMG, then that would weigh you down considerably.
Second of all, with stellar scores and CV it is still impossible to match as an IMG in plastic surgery or dermatology. Same goes for all surgery specialties: ENT, ophtalmo, gen surg, ortho, uro, neurosurg. You could try for gen surg preliminary or ob/gyn.
Your best bet would still be internal med, family med, psychiatry, pediatrics, neurology, maybe ob/gyn
. You'd need some pretty good explanation to motivate this sudden switch from surgery to internal medicine, and you'd need experience or interest demonstrated in one of the ennumerated fields, otherwise the PDs will just think you're trying to get matched any way you can to enter the States, instead of truly pursuing a specialty you like.
