Default img what to do now.

I completed my basic science in April, studied for Uslme step 1 exam. I was suppose to write it in November. My medical school requires that i write within 6 months or else i have to pay a tuition fee or i have to withdraw from school. I didn't write it because my nbme scores were low and i think i wasn't prepared. I don't know what to do now cause i need to pass uslme step 1 to continue onto clinical rotation. If there is a course i can take, or do something in the meantime while i prepare for uslme step 1. Right now, im not in the mood to really study cause i spent like 4-5 months studying. I would have written in september but i wasn't prepared my nbme was not high. It was in the failing to passing range.

Maybe transfer to a fifth semester but time has already past, wont be able to marticulate in january. So whatever it is has to be May. I also have financial problems i have to pay my government loans cause im not attending any classes. I need to work and do something. Any suggestions, right now im volunteering at hospital on the weekends. Any suggestions to help me pay off the loans or else i would end up with bad credit maybe i might not get a loan again.

Sorry to hear your situation man. NBMEs are pretty predicative. I just took it the past Nov. and It was.

I'd say if you still wanna have a good score with the boards it's not worth taking it if you are not ready(as NBME indicates).

Now there are too many things on your shoulder and obviously you want be able to focus and get a better score now.

May be try to sort things out one at a time and postpone some of them?
