I'm a graduate of Nigerian medical school from Nigeria. I want to do my

I need take to achieve this? I'm 30yrs, is it too late to go the USMLE path?

When was year of graduation? You must apply for externship. Usually through company. It is tough for IMG especially when age is older.

Default Steps....

What you can try and others would also recommend is going for the step 1 first and simultaneously search the programs that offer both clinical electives and residency positions to IMGs. Get the Step 1 result in a month or so. With the result in hand , apply for electives (USCEs). you will be getting electives approx. 6 months after you apply. Then finish with both the step 2 CK and CS. Get ECFMG certified with all this and apply for residencies.
for more info. read the official websites ... usmle.org and ecfmg.
All the best !

I would imagine that high step scores should overshadow your time since graduation. Perhaps consider taking out around ~12 months to get Step 1 and Step 2CK out of the way with scores ABOVE average.
