India News on the bond for Indian medical graduates

http://www.deccanchronicle.com/13032...ond-2-sureties

The way the article is worded, sounds like breaking the bond and staying back after finished your education in the US is pretty much impossible.

Any thoughts?

Well based on what I grasped. Its in regards to J1. Which is intended for people who intend to GO BACK to their country anyways.

If people really wanted to stay in the US, they would have gone for programs that offer H1s. Logical to me.

Also, as someone said: 500,000 Rupees is $9000. A US MD makes this amount in a month. I would just imagine them paying the "fine" and staying in the US regardless.
