Netherlands Netherlands Student with US Father!

I'm a 24 yo medical student from the Netherlands, I will be graduating in 4 months if all goes well. I'm thinking of maybe becoming a doctor in the US.

The thing is, my dad is already a US citizen and works in the medical field (at Langone MC, NYC). He has some connections with doctors there.

I was wondering, do you think this fact will be advantageous in getting a residency position, aside from high step scores?

If he is high up in the ranks then yeah it will count.. Even an LoR from NYU will be helpful. Try to round in the medicine departments if you can to get to know the other faculty
