Your questions are unclear:

Did you graduate from Algeria?
Do you want to transfer from a medical school in Algeria to an American one?
If this is it, then its not possible to transfer into it. There are way too many complications and no school will entertain (prereq's, exams etc.)

USMLE Step 1 has nothing to do with med school admission.

There's another exam called MCAT, you have to take MCAT in order to be admitted to US Med Schools.

Also, you cannot be admitted to med school in USA or take the MCAT until you meet certain credit requirements of undergraduate courses (usually 3-4 years).

Step taker is right. You have to do the MCAT in order to gain admission to a US medical school.

I would like to add to that. Having done 4 years in medschool in Algeria may qualify you to earn credits for your pre med undergraduate degree in USA. So you wont have to do the entire 4 years of the pre med undergraduate degree.

After the undergraduate degree you can do your MCAT and go to again to medschool in USA. But thats a lengthy process. Good luck!

You don't have to do step 1 to start med school in USA.

Its better to do step 1 after you go to a USA med school because they will train you for that exam.

Good grades in core science courses in the undergrad classes + extracurricular/volunteering/good LOR's etc. will get you a spot into med school. It ain't just the degree.
