Thumbs Up

It is always recommended to give Step 1 during the graduation in Our Medical Settings. So, this is ideal time for you to start preparation and go for it when you are ready. I am in the same situation and going to do the same.
And 2ndly, House Job is no criteria for any Step exam. It helps in Step 2 CK though!

Well. The thing is you've to Make a decision first, before you start your Step preparation. It's not a Sprint race, it's a marathon. You've to go through all the 3 Steps to benefit from them! Take a firm decision, then the timings and then the preparation!

Hi dua it's really a good time for you to start step 1 and it's better don't waste time with house job

Housejob is nothing but a mere postgrad rotation you do over here in the eyes of the program directors in USA , so it is not at all necessary . Yes it secures you mentally a little bit as a backup to be in pakistan but if you would give your step 1 in your undergrad with good scores you wont need to waste time with your housejob. Scores are the most important thing you should worry about now for your step 1 , rest later

Default Step1

Salaam everyone,

I work for an organization called Residents Medical in Los Angeles that specializes in helping FMG/IMGs get residency. I would love to help you all. We have USMLE tutors who can teach Step1 via Skype, one-on-one. Message me for more info and inshallah all your studies are going well.
